If you are looking for high quality products free from Parabens, Phthalates, Synthetic Fragrances, Harsh Surfactants, Artificial Colors, and Petroleum Derivatives…you won’t be disappointed with Baby Butter by The Spoiled Mama. Their gentle blend of Cocoa Butter and Shea is infused with Calendula and Sunflower oil to help keep your babies skin soft daily. All products by The Spoiled Mama are cruely free, but Baby Butter does contain nut oil so take note if you or your baby are allergic.

I ran across a great collection of complete and reasonably priced eco-friendly lunch combos and wanted to share them! The products at Kids Konserve can be purchased by the piece, but I think you’ll agree that their sets really can’t be beat. Here are two of my favorites from their catalog:
- The Waste-Free Lunch Kit (left): includes a recycled cotton sack, cloth napkin, 16 oz. stainless steel beverage bottle, food kozy, and two stainless steel food containers for $40.
Both lunch sets are completely reusable right down to the cotton napkins and available from Kids Konserve!

January 30th 2009 by Dr.MOZ in Blog Feature, CPSIA Information

It’s been over two weeks since I’ve posted to the Maple Baby Blog, but it’s not because I’ve been lounging in New England swamps feasting on water lilies. Far from it my friends…Dr.MOZ labs have been bustling to create the online resource 600ppm.com: The CPSIA Blog to help independent businesses and artists survive the dreaded CPSIA. Originally created to help keep dangerous chemicals out of children’s products, the well-intended legislation called CPSIA H.R. 4040 was so poorly written that it will soon be responsible for shutting down thousands of small businesses on February 10th.
If you are a retailer or small business manufacturing products for children 0-12 years-old, you are invited to join Jason (Dr.MOZ’s Founder and President) at 600ppm.com: The CPSIA Blog for anything and everything related to the CPSIA. Designed to be a starting-point for CPSIA information, it’s quickly growing beyond a glossary of terms to also offer useful up-to-the-minute feeds and industry directories. I look forward to seeign you there!

My Etsy features usually highlight products from multiple stores, but I found so many cool organic pieces at the Inkpony Etsy store…they get the entire post! If cool images printed on organic clothing (see above) aren’t already enough to convince you to buy, perhaps you’ll be sold when you hear they use non-toxic water-based inks. Not only does Inkpony of Park City create non-toxic clothing for your kids, they go the extra mile by using sustainable manufacturing like recycled picture frames and remnant cloth to build their screens. If you are in the Park City or Salt Lake area, you can avoid shipping costs on your Inkpony orders by meeting with someone from the team in person. Wow, what a cool company!

Money may not grow on trees, but lucky for us Three Potato Four of Reston, VA found three fantastic banks made from trees! Not only will the Pear, Van, and Owl money boxes make cute gifts for the little saver on your gift list, but they’re made by hand from wood which means these banks will be around for years to come. I’m calling dibs on the “Dr.MOZ orange” vintage 60’s phones when they are back in stock, so slowly…step away…from the phones.
